Trumpeter 1/35 German Bergepanzer IV Recovery Vehicle

The Panzer IV was the workhorse of the German tank corps, being produced and used in all theatres of combat throughout the war. The design was upgraded repeatedly to deal with the increasing threats from enemy forces. Bergepanzer IV : A recovery vehicle, essentially a turretless Panzer IV chassis fitted with a crane. In May 1944 Bergepanzer 36 stared being built.:

Description Towards the end of WWII the Germans converted some Panzer IV tanks to Bergepanzer IV recovery vehicles. These heavy duty machines were used to recover damaged artillery and tanks from the battlefield. Only 36 Panzer IV tanks were actually converted. Kit consists of 832 parts on 18 sprues plus 139 photo etched parts, individual track links, metal tow chain, newly tooled hull, full interior detail, full suspension, opening and closing hatch, side fenders with pattern detail, ammo box, newly tooled crane and markings in Panzer Grey.
