Advance Hobby Cruiser-to-Carrier Model Ship Jig Extension Module
Extend your Cruiser jig for longer and larger model ship projects.
The Advance Hobby Carrier Extension Module expands the Cruiser Model Ship Building Jig with an additional base section and two extra hull supports. Installed between the Cruiser’s existing sections, it creates a longer six-support setup for larger model ships.
Convert Your Cruiser into a Carrier-Size Jig
Separate the two sections of your Cruiser jig and install the Carrier Extension Module between them. The resulting setup provides three connected base sections and six independently positionable hull supports.
Multiple Support Configurations
Two support-arm sizes are included, allowing you to adapt the extension module to different hull widths and profiles. Each support can be positioned independently, adjusted to match the angle of the hull and lined with self-adhesive foam to help protect the model’s surface.

Built-In Measuring Guides
Engraved measuring guides help you position the extension supports evenly in relation to the existing Cruiser supports. This makes it easier to distribute support across longer model hulls.
Designed for Longer Model Vessels
The Carrier Extension Module is intended for model ships that require more working length and additional support than the standard Cruiser jig provides.
Suitable for selected 1:72 to 1:350 scale vessels. Compatibility will depend on the model’s actual length, width, weight and hull shape.

Cruiser Jig Required
This product is an extension module and is not intended to function as a complete standalone jig. The Advance Hobby Cruiser Large Model Ship Building Jig is required and sold separately.

The Carrier Extension Module arrives as a flat-packed MDF kit and requires assembly with PVA glue. Once assembled, it connects between the two sections of the Cruiser jig using the included connecting plates and hardware. Assembly takes approximately 15–30 minutes, excluding glue-drying time.
